Self-Esteem is based on some beliefs and perceptions. We, by nature, are blessed with a high level of self-esteem. We, consciously or unconsciously keep on trying to save our self-esteem since the moment of birth. In this journey of life, when we feel low and depressed due to some reason in our mind, our self-esteem suffers. Most of us become healthy and go through their difficult period successfully but few of us continuously feel low and depressed. As a result their self-esteem remains low and unattended. In this case, we need to analyze our behaviors, beliefs and concepts that are causing troubles and pains. What I believe is that there is some obvious reason for any feeling and that obvious reason can be solved through a change in any trivial concept or through a big change in behavior. Both cases will result in High Positive Self-Esteem. Without a continuous circle of better self-esteem, we will not survive. So our identity, life, happiness and existence all depend on our positive high level of self-esteem.
Some quotes in this regard, I would like to add:
“ the power of belief is immense. We know how powerful the placebo effect is in creating health. But a similar type of placebo effect happens in our daily lives. Our thoughts, intentions , feelings and beliefs all create what happens to us”(David R.Hamilton,2006,p.111).
“ each culture has its unique beliefs and these have an impact on life, relationships and the way that people see and communicate with others from different cultures. Beliefs are a very important part of our consciousness and affect how we perceive life’. Dr Menis Yousry (2011, P.23).
“ we have deep core beliefs that influence both our automatic thoughts and our behavior patterns”(Dennis & Christine, 1995,P.19).
