Marriage & infidelity is a sentence that goes hand in hand. A lot of people are not interested in God any-more, apart from on their wedding day. However, if they gave God a chance they may find that their relationship lasts.
Getting married doesn't count for anything nowadays. However, that is not to say that divorce should be viewed in a negative way. People need to change their mindset about divorce.
Everyone has read a newspaper story about a celebrity couple getting divorced. Hollywood is a place where many celebrities get married, but end their relationship without giving it a chance to work. These are the times we are living in, it is sad that most marriages end in divorce.
Christian beliefs have always been that getting married is the right way to live. Living with someone before being married is classed as a sin, especially if the couple are entering into sexual relations. Yet, people look at the Christian model of married life as unrealistic, or out of date.
Nearly everyone has a friend whose partnership ended in the divorce courts. It is such a shame that people who once loved each other enough to get married, now want to get divorced. The world we are living in is getting tougher and this has an impact on relationships.
A lot of couples love each other when they get wed, but a few years down the line their relationship hits a hurdle and they are not prepared to work at it. Instead, they stop talking to each other and start to cope with the troubles by themselves. Sometimes, a partner may find a listening ear outside the relationship and an affair starts.
With so much news about infidelity, it is no surprise that people enter married life with scepticism. They are nervous and doubtful about their relationship before they even get wed. There is a negative stigma that surrounds divorce. Many people view those who are divorced with shame and guilt, they do not realize the pain they have gone through.
Many people see divorce as an exciting time of rebirth. Therefore, rather than focusing on the negative, society should see it as an opportunity. Although nobody should throw their marriage away without giving it a fair chance. We should view divorce more positively.
Divorce is just like being single again. It's a time where a person can enjoy life. Divorce helps test a person's emotional strength and if they can survive divorce, they can survive anything. Marriage & infidelity don't have to lead to this, but its not the end of the world if it does occur.
