The priceless gifts I’m talking about are so valuable that they go far beyond a price tag.
They are the blessings and miracles that occur in our lives each and every day!
They are often taken for granted and frequently overlooked unless you are paying attention to these precious gems that are there all the time.
At the end of the day I like to jot down all the gifts both big and small, disguised or right before my eyes, that I felt blessed my day.
These priceless offerings are to be cherished.
These offering might be my first deep breath in the morning, or my child asleep and snoring, or having choices about what to do and say, or greeting the dawn of each new day.
Perhaps it’s being able to walk and talk and read and write, or being outside, or flying a kite.
Maybe it’s an unexpected call, or a cheque in the mail, or listening to the birds, or watching a snail.
It could be the stars in the dark night sky, or eating a piece of fresh pumkin pie, or a kiss, or smile, or a great big hug, or sipping warm tea out of a mug.
The list could include eating fruits, vegetables and drinking fresh water, or saying good morning and good night to my daughter and
having family and friends and love to share, or letting someone know you are there and care.
•The clouds in the sky or the sun shining bright, or the stars and the moon that dance in the night.
•Having electricity, gas and a warm winter’s fire, or a stove, a fridge and a washer and dryer.
•Being able to sit, walk and run, or enjoying the rays of a warm summer sun.
•The clothes on my back or the shoes on my feet, the places I go and the people I meet.
•Having a bed to rest in and a fresh hot shower, seeing the colour and bloom of a beautiful flower.
•Watching a sunset or sunrise, a thunderstorm or the first fallen snow, enjoying the city and night life all a glow.
•Perhaps a nurse, doctor or care giver, or the ocean vast or a small babbling river.
•Sitting in stillness, meditating and listening, or seeing the dew on the grass wet and glistening.
How can one not see God’s beautiful ways that these priceless gifts enrich our days?
