Dr. Steven Gurgevich is a licensed psychologist specializing in Mind-Body Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine, within Dr. Andrew Weil’s Program of Integrative Medicine. He also holds the same position within the Department of Pediatrics. He has been the Director of The Mind-Body Clinic at the Program in Integrative Medicine since its inception in 1997. Dr. Gurgevich also continues his thirty-five years of private practices at Behavioral Medicine, Ltd, and Sabino Canyon Integrative Medicine, LLC, in Tucson, Arizona. He is a Fellow and faculty of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Other professional memberships are: Fellow and Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists; faculty member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine; Diplomate and Senior Disability Analyst of the American Board of Disability Analysts; the Society of Behavioral Medicine; the American Psychological Association, and state and local psychological societies. Dr. Gurgevich offers a wide variety of clinical, educational and community services. Currently, he spends his professional time seeing patients in private practice, directing the Program in Integrative Medicine Mind-Body Clinic (which treats patients and teaches physicians), participating in NIH grants and research, offering training workshops, serving as the “Mind-Body Expert” on the DrWeil.com message forums, and creating audio programs for his internet presence at Tranceformation Works. Dr. Gurgevich and his wife, Joy, live and practice near Sabino Canyon National Park in Tucson, Arizona.
