That was a saying I heard over and over again growing up. That the worst thing that anyone could ever say to you was "no", was always a deal breaker for me. I figured if that was the worst thing that could happen, then it was no holds barred. That was my ticket out of being a child and taking on the world as an adult. It made me more brave and it gave me wings.
Empowering people has always been something that I felt was a gift someone could give to someone else. Helping someone else realize that the worst things to hear were the words "no" or "you cant do that" made it pure logic and those who were willing to listen realized I was right.
Go for it would later replace that saying, and of course now that I am more distant from my childhood, realizing that I take more pride in thumbing my nose and teaching other older women, that they too can thumb their noses at convention, gives me great pride.
This is the life of an older woman, and I feel empowered to share this emotion.
Although dance is my focal point for older women, working with tools of any sort helps expand and make older women bigger and better emotionally than their old selves.
You must analyse my home website to really get a feel for what I enjoy in life. Originally my site was started to create links to hobby sites, and to put all my eggs in one basket. It does still fulfill that need but also now creates a portrait of whom I am.
