When Rita Losee was in her early thirties – a few weeks back—she came across Helen Keller’s statement:
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” On the spot, she decided that her life would be one of adventure. Since then, she has: Climbed 19,360 foot Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, Finished the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon in 12 hours, 45 minutes, and 27 seconds Placed 4th in the 1992 World Triathlon Championships, Written 4 books and published numerous articles Earned a doctorate from Boston University Helped thousands expand their vision, accelerate their growth, and achieve their goals In 2000, she solo through-hiked the 2167-mile Appalachian Trail. Since 2001, she has learned how to live with, and overcome, the devastating pain and debilitation of Lyme disease. Healthy and wiser now, she is exuberantly resuming her life of adventure.
Living without a vision is living below "see-level."
View your mistakes as a movie director would, as mis-takes. Simply re-do the scene until it works -- for you.
We all have ideas; therefore we are all idealistic. We teach our children to be realistic. What if we taught them to be idealistic? What if we modeled it for them?
