Since 1993, Rev. Regina K. Foster has ministered to primarily, but not exclusively, to urban pre-teen, teen and college entry-level females who need assistance with developing a deeper commitment to Jesus Christ. Rev. Foster has ministered in Houses of Worship, shelters for girls and has spoken as a motivational speaker in the public school system.
Utilizing the Book of Esther, Rev. Foster encourages every girl to know their worth in Christ and not be deceived by the worlds' standards of beauty, which often is not beauty, but sensuality. Recognizing the impact of the hip hop culture, she uses down to earth teachings and Bible lessons to impact their desire to obtain practical application through studying God's Word and seeking His face in prayer. If one is to reach the girls' of this culture, you do not have to become the culture, but you need to know what the culture's core values are, so you can respond (not react) to the need for Christ in their life.
You don't have to be like them, but you must care enough to learn who they believe they are, so you can help them come to terms with who they were created to be.
This is done by listening, I mean really listening, to grasp where they are at, not whether you agree with it or not....it's in their music, their magazines, the way they wear their hair, their clothes and who they respect in the industries that attempt to manipulate and or steal their true identity.
