Unlike many of her mentor/motivator contemporaries, Leyla grew up in a very privileged life style. Her parents owned their own business in Hong Kong, and her father worked for one of the largest shipping companies in the world Orient Overseas Container Lines (OOCL), and retired as Chairman of the Board in the late 1980s.

Because her parents business often took them on travels, Leyla traveled extensively throughout the world as a young child, and learned the cultures of each region she visited and lived in. Later in life, Leyla incorporated these diverse cultures in her own life’s path with an understanding of each as if she had lived them many lifetimes before.

After Leyla immigrated to Canada, with her family, in 1992, her challenges began. Arriving in Canada in the midst of a terrible recession, Leyla’s parents slowly lost most of their fortune. The stress of the situation, as well being in a new country with no social network, Leyla set out on a path of destruction and then self-discovery, and finally success over a 10-year time frame.

Married at a relatively young age, Leyla was thrust into a world of abuse and substance abuse.

At the young age of 26, Leyla’s first husband completed suicide, leaving Leyla a widow, homeless, and completely lost emotionally and physically.

Over the next few years, Leyla embarked on a journey of spiritual re-growth and self-love. Although during this time, Leyla openly admits to having struggled with this.

In 2002, Leyla suffered a seizure where her heart stopped and she was inturbated and was in a coma. This was a direct result of negligence from a doctor who had mis-diagnosed, and over-medicated her.

While in the coma, Leyla speaks of having had a near-death experience (the third in her life time, but by far, the most profound). When she emerged from the coma, Leyla received a diagnosis of having residual brain damage. She was told to “go home, get on disability, find a good hobby, and live your life out to the best of your ability.”

She was told that there was no hope of “cure” or being able to live a “normal” life ever again.

Allowing herself 20 minutes to cry over the situation, she found the resolve within herself to “never allow” herself to be “labeled and shelved away again”!

She went home and began her process of “becoming whole”. Leyla refers to this time in her life as being her complete “rebirth”.

The process of “rehabilitation” lasted about 1 ½ months in which time she re-learned to walk, talk, read, write, type, and use the internet.

With each success she achieved, her confidence grew stronger and her determination more resilient.

Today, Leyla guides and teaches individuals and large groups in finding success in their lives.

Leyla has a world-wide following, and has aided in helping countless thousands of individuals effect positive changes in their lives, finding success in life, over-coming self-esteem and fear issues, removing blocks of the past to realize a successful future, guided meditation and how meditation plays a critical importance in life to bring about body/mind/soul harmonic balance, as well as the Law of Attraction. Leyla has clients ranging from major celebrities to entrepreneurs to housewives.

Leyla co-authored "Strategies for Success" together with Chicken Soup for the Soul co-creator, Jack Canfield; Marie Diamond who was featured in the movie "The Secret"; the co-founder of the world famous "Money and You" program, DC Cordova; and other leading experts in their field, in a step-by-step collection that brings insights to help the reader.

She also co-authored "The Power of Persistence" together with Justin Sachs and other leading notables in the self-help, self-improvement genre, and was a best seller on Amazon.com.

Leyla was featured in the March 2009 issue of Women to Women Business magazine, as well as other magazines, and is often featured on internet radio shows and was a featured contributor to Bob Doyle's well publicized "Boundless Living" newsletter. In October 2009, Leyla was nominated for, and won the Women Business Owner's 2009 Woman of Courage award.

In May 2008, Leyla premiered her weekly radio show, "Manifesting the Positive", with co-host Stuart "GuruStu" Rosen.

The show gained incredible success in the first few weeks of being aired, and went "international" prior to the airing of the first show. Listener numbers have steadily increased each week.

To date, listeners are tuning in from countries such as South Africa, Mozambique, Israel, Morocco, Dubai, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, all across Europe, UK, across Canada, South America, and the USA.

The line-up of guests have been diverse and each one has given a positive message of inspiration.

In April 2009, Leyla debuted her inspirational online magazine "Magnify You" to a very well received audience.

Leyla also works tirelessly as the Vice President of WICO NGO, a not-for-profit peace organization. The Women International Coalition Organisation (WICO) is an international Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in the United States of America by Rev. Marilyn Kotulek, "International White Eagle Ministeries" INC. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA and by Dr. Dalia Steiner," Ambassador for Peace", Jerusalem, Israel.

The organisation was founded due to the similar fates of the two cities and their civilians, who witnessed terror attacks and suffered damage to property, death and lost of loved ones.

WICO's goal is to work for the benefit of men, women, youths and children all over the world with no preference towards race, creed, religion or ethnicity. Our aim is to protect lives, promote human rights, improve the quality of life, advanced people in the different fields of life, such as education, professional training and development, culture for peace and prevention of conflicts, wars, voilence, injustice, discrimination and social inequality.

For Leyla, it feels that life has come full-cycle, and she is enjoying this portion of it. Incredibly humbled by her success and recognition, Leyla strives each and every day to make a difference in the world as we know it; and to help individuals who come in contact with her, become empowered and inspired.

In this workshop, Leyla helps women overcome the blocks that have held them back in life. It is a life-freeing, and empowering full-day of information and transformation. Those who have attended this work shop have found that they have broken the bonds and ties of their past, risen above, and moved forward with more confidence and love of Self.

This is an interactive workshop which accomodates room for up to 20 women. In this intimate setting, women are able to open up, speak about the issues that are plaguing them, get tips and hints to over come these issues, and embrace the Goddess that they are.

At the end of an intensive full-day workshop, participants receive certificates of accomplishment. These certificates are reminders that each woman is the embodiment of Goddess, the feminine aspect of The Divine, and works as a motivator to help her continue to live the prinicpals she learned when awakening to this fact.

Consultations
