I'm a mother of 4 daughters, 3 of whom are triplets. I love being a mom
and all that comes with it and I love to share my knowledge and
experience with others. One of my daughters has Asperger's Disorder and
another was recently found to have a form of ADHD; Inattentive Type. I
can sympathize and empathize with any of you out there. It's a tough
row to hoe.
There was a time when "doula-ing" was done within
the family. Our families have expanded naturally as we have moved away
from our biological families. I always feel honored with each and every
family who welcomes me into their family even if it is just for a brief
period of time.
I offer Small Group and Private Childbirth
Instruction, Labor and Birth Doula Services, Postpartum Care, and
Infant Massage Instruction. On Friday evenings (starting this June
2009), I will be moderating a New Moms' circle. This is a chance to
"hook up" with other new moms and leave the kiddos at home (nursing
babes are always welcome).
I have been a certified doula since
2003 and have extensive hospital and birth center experience. I have
encountered every situation from natural midwife births to OR Cesarean
births.
I am CPR and AED Trained and Certified for Infants through Adults and a Certified First Aider.
I
am an Associate Member of PALM; Pennsylvania Association of Licensed
Midwives and I serve on the Steering Committee at the Bryn Mawr Birth
Center.
I look forward to helping you and your family on this great
journey! I work in Berks, Montgomery, Lehigh, Chester and Philadelphia
Counties.
I organize and run a doula collective that serves SE Pennsylvania and parts of NJ.
