Ellen Williams is The Data Chick. Over the past 25 years, she’s also achieved “certified” or “expert” status in accounting, CRM, email marketing, and social media monitoring technology. She has spent thousands of hours managing marketing and sales systems, uncovering insights, and delivering valuable information that leads to smart, data-driven decisions. An avid “lifetime-learner”, in 2018 she achieved a Data Analytics Certification from Cornell University.
Ellen launched The Data Chick in January 2018 after 3 years of contract work that included the creation of a subscription-based online searchable database for marketers (B2B R&D), selection, implementation, and management of back-office systems for a marketing agency on Long Island, and research for a CRM SaaS (SAM) in the development of their channel reseller program, to name a few.
In 2011 Constant Contact recruited Ellen as a Regional Development Director. Her role included conducting educational seminars to thousands of small businesses on email and social media marketing, developing strong relationships with the leaders of local business organizations, and recruiting marketing professionals to become Constant Contact solutions providers. Outside of her job description, Ellen assisted in implementing Salesforce.com at Constant Contact’s corporate office. She worked cross-functionally to design the architecture needed for an impactful roll-out to the field marketing team, earning her an employee award.
Ellen is a nationally-known writer and speaker, having written hundreds of technology articles for top computer print magazines and websites, and given keynotes and seminar presentations to over 20,000 attendees for organizations including SCORE, Newsday, Constant Contact, and Sage Software. In addition to being The Data Chick, Ellen delivers continuing education courses in marketing and sales automation at Hofstra University.
