Denise C. Williams is a Certified LifeStyle Counselor and hercompany, LifeStyle Solutions for Stress & Weight Management in Capitola, California, focuses on personalized programs for individuals seeking to improve their quality of life by minimizing the effects of distress.
Using a 12-week program that includes topics such as why stress matters, identifying triggers, and behavior identification that contributes to stress, Denise helps her clients successfully manage stress and related weight issues.
Denise conducts on-site retreats for both corporate settings and faith based groups.
She explains, "All positive change requires work and perserverance. Programs that are 'quick fixes' don't work. The person ends up without the tools to succeed in the future. Too often, the 'quick fix' ends in being a perscription drug for anxiety or an aid for sleep. That may provide a temporary bandaid, but the resultant chemical imbalances interfere with normal functioning. It becomes a vicious cycle. I believe personal & individual support, as well as education is key to success. When we understand the endocrine system's response to stress, we can understand the importance of such things as 'letting it go' and why we need to 'forgive.' The result is a new perspective that results in a long lasting happier, more fulfilled lifestyle."
"We believe at LifeStyle Solutions 'when you change your perspective, you change your life! ' Our mission is to improve the quality of life for each of our clients....one at a time."

"Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things put together." Vincent Van Gogh
Lasting change is a step-wise process. One little step here to change this and then we build on that until, over a period of time, like a painting, we are finally satisfied.
Likewise, negative-type stress is never one event, but a series of small events and frustrations that remain unresolved and build up over a time period until anger boils over and one can no longer adapt! The end result is a feeling of exhaustion. The cycle repeats itself until one is ill from it all or feels they cannot cope another day. The good news is that managing stress is a process that can be learned and managed with simple tools.
MAYBE you are feeling overwhelmed by unpredictable events or not enough time. Or maybe frustrating relationships in your family or at work? Or is it more responsibility than you are comfortable with? Maybe you feel like you need some support in learning to handle the negative stress in your life and what you can do about it. You owe it to yourself to get back in charge.
One small step you can take, is to look at our two blogs which contain many educational and supportive articles about stress management and weight management. You will find links to those sites at our ad-free website: www.LifeStyleSols.com.
If our program looks like something that would benefit you, you will find my contact information there and you can get started on your way to a better quality of life! You can participate via internet and phone or in person.
You deserve it and I am here to help you. Denise C. Williams
