The scientific answer to why everything happens differently for every individual is it is the result of one’s karma. It is all dependent on one’s merit and demerit karma, that one has brought forward from their previous life, and that is why karmas for each person are different.

Merit karmas yield positive results like success, fulfilling relationships, wealth or things that bring comfort in life. On the other side, demerit karmas produce negative results for instance unsuccessful work-life, obstacles at home or generally a problematic life.

How are karmas bound?
The general understanding is that our actions bind karmas. For example, charity work, donations, helping the needy, supporting environmental projects etc. will bind merit karmas. However, Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, founder of spiritual science, clarifies that it is our intent, whether good or bad, that binds karma.

For example, if we donate money to the poor without any inner intent to help them, or with a hurtful intention of some kind in our mind, we would bind demerit karma instead of merit karma. Even though the visible action seems good, it is the inner intent that binds the karma.

What energy controls our karma?
Through our intentions, we bind karma. But who is it that gives the result of these karmas? Is God or some higher power behind all of this?

No, God does not meddle at all in this; otherwise, He too would be binding karmas. The law of Nature is such that when you create karma, the result will come naturally and automatically. The fruits of karmas do not need to be determined by someone; the karma itself does this. When the time is up for the maturation of karma, it automatically comes into effect, just like mangoes ripen naturally. It happens on its own. Everything runs scientifically.

Nobody makes the rules; otherwise, there would be a Creator and a Manager of this world. The world is run by scientific circumstantial evidences. The whole world is run by this energy.

Let us understand this through a simple example of making tea. To make just one cup of tea, we need so many things eg. sugar, tea bag, gas cooker or kettle, water, cup, saucer, milk, time, space, also our own mind, body and the spare parts within our body need to be alright, without which making the cup of tea would not be possible.

Now, when all these things come together, the task of making the tea will be accomplished. These things are termed as scientific circumstantial evidences. If any one of these things are absent in making the tea, then the tea would not be made. The process of the circumstances coming together is scientific. It is governed by Nature, depending upon our karma (merit or demerit).

This is science! Nobody is the creator and nobody is the doer, neither God, nor we, nor any other individual. From beginning to end, if we see, only the scientific circumstantial evidences are the doer. It happens naturally through the law of Nature!

This implies that whatever karmas we have charged (bound) in our past life, due to these charged karma, scientific circumstantial evidences occur accordingly.

For instance, if our inner intent from the past life was to help mankind selflessly, then in our present life, all the required circumstances will come together as a result of which we end up serving others throughout our life (we received the result of karma).

CONCLUSION: Based on our inner intent, karma is bound and the scientific circumstantial evidences will render its fruits. Therefore, if we have an inner intent not to hurt others to the slightest extent through our mind, speech and body, this will form a basis for a better future life.
