One of my biggest pet peeves in life is how many women have let themselves go. You see, when you let yourself go it has a way of affecting other areas of your life. If you don’t believe me think about the last time you had a bad hair day. Did you walk around blah, blah, blah? Did you show up at work 100%? What about your home? I bet you didn’t even make the bed that day.
What does your home have to do with how you dress?
Have you ever entered a person’s home and then peek inside their closet to find the style of their home really did reflect their own personal sense? Case in point whenever guests come to my place they always say it’s so you. I have dresses that are in the same fabric as throw pillows. The jewel encrusted candle holders resemble my costume jewelry. The floor rugs could be mistaken for some of my winter coats/jackets. Did I do this on purpose? I like to think it unfolded organically because I naturally gravitated to what’s chic to me which translates to my signature style. It’s difficult to define style, or rather a sense of style. You know when you have it, but when you don’t, putting effort into getting dressed remains off your “To Do List”.
How do you turn that around?
I invite you to bring the style back into your life. I think it’s important for you to embrace all of you. Your inner world is a reflection of your outer world. So before you head to the powder room make sure you’ve “primped” your mind. I bet you never heard that before. Okay so what I mean by “primp” is put the same level of attention into dolling up your inner dialogue with what you want & please don’t try on thoughts that do not best serve you. This will make getting dressed a lot easier. You will create a lovely environment for yourself which will only fuel your creativity. You will have increased confidence. You will focus on your assets and perfecting your potential™.
If you’re ready to be the sexy, savvy, and sophisticated woman that has always existed within you, it’s time to stop making excuses about the way you look, how you feel & why your place is in disarray. You can have what you want but you have to be willing to do the work. Effort goes a long way and if you think having it all is a fantasy or something you read in a fiction novel or see onscreen in movies, it’s time to redesign your life and make an unwavering commitment to be well dressed inside/out.
When you are well dressed from the inside/out, you will go after the higher paying job. You will only attract healthy relationships. You will look forward to exercising, eating right, and taking care of yourself. Your home will be a sanctuary that provokes a sense of peace & calm. You’ve now aligned yourself for personal and financial success. How beautiful is that?
