Most of the people travel around with an empty trunk which is not an idea because if you get into any car trouble you will be left stranded and wait for help. Breaking down in the middle road is the worst thing that can happen as it will completely ruin the trip as you will spend hours stranded so make sure that you can take care of the basic problems yourself. You should make sure that you have an emergency bag or a kit in your car trunk especially if you are going on a long trip. These things can help you a lot in an emergency situation.

Some of the other survival equipment that should be in the car includes emergency money, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, blanket, reusable shopping bags and a change of clothes.

Other small tools such as window breaker and seat belt cutter under the seat so you can cut yourself loose in case of an accident. They should be kept in a place where they are easily accessible. Flares and reflective triangles can also come handy if get lost and to prevent you from hitting the side of the road in dark. Never go on a road trip without a map. You should also download some useful apps that can help you with the route you are travelling.
