Ed Strachar, creator of the Reading Genius® program, once said, "Positive thinking is better than negative thinking, but no thinking (just effective action) is better than positive thinking."
Negative thinking
Can negative thinking serve you?
What if I told you that there is an incredible use for negative thinking in your life, if you knew how to use negative thinking more efficiently?
Negative thinking, in general, is a matter of perspective for the thinker, and prey to the intention of the person having the thoughts. That means that negative thinking to you may be positive thinking to somebody else, and vice versa. Your job is to be very clear and always alert to what your best intention is. You must know what results you are trying create before you start thinking any type of thought.
It is my observation that everything we are provided with in this world can be made useful. There is a useful purpose for every feeling, emotion, state, idea, and impulse that you have. There is nothing that you have access to that is waste material, and everything in your space can be used in the service of your highest intention.
Positive thinking is usually useful for helping you to identify areas of success that you get to continue. It usually engages your confidence to take further action and build the futures that you are pursuing. No thinking usually provides the context for true, clear, focused action (e.g., rock climbers cannot be distracted by thought) and is the source from whence creative inspiration and insights are allowed to come.
Negative thinking, if used in powerfully small doses, can provide the areas or obstacles to your success that get to be identified and overcome. By systematically identifying all the things they can go wrong with a great idea, then separating them and then applying positive thinking to each obstacle, you can begin to make significant progress in bringing your dreams to reality by overcoming individual obstacles. This is the gift of powerfully precise negative thinking.
What negative thoughts can we use today to get you to begin accomplishing your dreams?

With thirteen employees with an incredibly low turnover rate, Hugh works only 10 to 12 hours a week in that particular business due to leveraged time and systems.
