The Fallacy Of Running Two Businesses At Once

I am all for you having everything…

You know that, right?

I completely believe in your ability to conquer the world and make all the money, impact all the people you want…

It is absolutely something you are capable of…

However, I see you stuck in place getting no results because you are overwhelmed by all the things you have to do…

And why?

Because you are trying to get TWO or more businesses off the ground at once.

And, as much as I think you are capable of doing anything you set your mind, I do not understand why you would dilute your power in this way.

Have you never heard the analogy of a magnifying glass and the sun? Maybe you even did this experiment as a child.

Hold a piece of paper in sunlight and nothing much happens as the sun’s rays are dispersed equally all over the place but the moment you introduce a magnifying glass to the picture…

The moment you concentrate the sun’s rays to one spot on the paper, the concentrated heat of the sun causes the paper to brown and start to burn…
And it is like that with your attention and your focus.

Yes, you can pay attention and be focused on getting lots of things going at the same time but it will never ever be as effective as getting one thing off the ground and started, especially when this is your first attempt at running a successful business.

And for whatever reason, at the moment, you are not the only entrepreneur who seems to think that the whole two business thing is the right thing to do but the thing I am not yet noticing, is anyone who has two or more businesses that are all running successfully.

Yes, I do see seasoned entrepreneurs with teams behind them that manage this feat but I am yet to see a solopreneur manage this.

So, why do you set yourself up for a fall?

Why do you keep shooting yourself in the foot?

And yes, I know you think you are working hard and yes, you may even be getting little wins here and there but I wonder why you must make it sooo hard on yourself.

What if you focused all that energy and power into making one thing work? How much quicker and less confusing could it be? I think you would notice the difference immediately but you are not listening and can I tell you why?

It is because you are scared that you will choose the wrong business to focus on – as though there is a WRONG business…

It is also because you are scared that the real thing that you want to do, the thing that truly makes you come alive, will not work and so you are hedging your bets.

And guess what?! You condemn it not to work by your actions.
Nothing works unless you give it all your attention and so, now, you are going to prove yourself right and make it not work.

Well done!

Or maybe, I should say – That is unfortunate!

Because it really is pretty unfortunate that we are not going to get to experience the power you could bring to the world, if you just decided that the thing, the business that you know you are actually called to do, was where all your energy needed to go.

Because, as I already said, I do think you are pretty powerful and capable of anything you set your mind to.

However, you hae currently set your mind on failure and you are going to get it.

YOu have currently decided you cannot do the thing that you are called to do and so you will not do it…

You have currently decided to be small and you will get exactly what you wish for.

AGAIN, that is unfortunate.

Building any business is tough work and so, I cannot understand why you do not just focus every single ounce of your energy on making the business you actually want, WORK!

It seems obvious to me and yet it seems to escape your attention.

Let me say it again, clearly…
WHATEVER YOU FOCUS ON, WILL GROW!

That is it!

Please stop dabbling at everything and start getting focused and deliberate about your ONE thing!

There will be more than enough time to expand and add things on when you have made your ONE thing work, whereas dispersing your energy in this way, is getting in the way of your success.

So, if it is that you choose to go with the lesser idea to get your entrepreneurial feet wet, then do that.
