Are you lacking the energy to complete your projects? Have you been feeling unfocused when you sit down to work? Do you feel like you are unable to get things done? Find the source of your motivation and you can solve these challenges! Everyone has their own particular set motivators, so tap into yours and complete the projects you want with joy and ease! Life coaching can help you discover your source of motivation, allowing you to motivate yourself at will and save time.

When you are feeling unmotivated, you don’t take action to pursue your goals. Often many people get stuck in a cycle of thinking about something they want to do, remaining stagnant, and then beating themselves up about the lack of productivity. This cycle can go on for weeks, months, or years! With the help of a coach, you can stop this pattern and start achieving your goals. Read on for the six questions to tap into your motivation!

How clear are you?

What do you want in this moment? Why do you want it? These questions may seem really simple, but many times people don’t have an actual grasp on their bigger goal or purpose. Without clarity, you are wandering around aimlessly on autopilot. If there isn’t a significant purpose to what you are doing, it can be difficult to get motivated. Try assigning at least one reason to everything that you do. If you don’t have a reason, why are you doing it?

What are the stakes?

How important is this to you? Try thinking about the goal on a scale of 1 (Least Important) – 10 (Most Important). What happens if you don’t reach this goal or get what you want? If the stakes are low, that’s probably why there is a lack of motivation. Life coaching can help you prioritize projects and goals, making them more manageable to complete.

How does this affect you?

Sure, you can consider if something is basically positive or negative, but let’s dig a little deeper. How can this one goal change your present and future circumstances? If executing this project well increases your visibility at the office, you could be promoted or ask for a raise, which could increase your income. Now, wouldn’t that be worth it?

Who else is involved?

Do you need help from other people? Relying on others can serve as a mental barrier to getting things done. But knowing that other people depend on you can be an intense motivator for achievement. Life coaching helps you get out of your own head and your own way to discover any hidden motivators.

How long would you be invested?

Be real with yourself, how much time do you want to do this? Consider the average amount of time needed to complete the job at the standard you choose. An investment can be time, money, and energy, among many other things. If you are serious about your goal, but follow through is something you want help with, the accountability provided by life coaching can get you on the right track.

What does it take?

Make a list of everything you need to complete this project. Are the necessities readily available to you? Or do you need some time to pool resources and strategize how get them? A positive attitude is vital here, because nothing will zap your motivation quicker than negativity, which leads you right back to that cycle we talked about earlier.

As you can see, motivation is a complicated topic that is unique to every individual. There is no one size fits all approach here. After considering those six questions, how do you feel about the different things on your plate? Think about what lingers on your mind, occupies your time, or is your purpose. If tapping into your motivation is important for your achievement, consider working with a coach to create a life you LOVE!
