Are you one of those who believe in taking chances? Do you agree with the saying, old ways won’t open new doors?

No doubt, life is filled with a lot of opportunities and potentials waiting to be discovered. This is what makes life worth living-- it offers each and every one of us the privilege of making our decision that will mold what we're going to be in the future.

Here are some of the reasons why you should step out of your comfort zone and start taking chances:

You'll Never Know What Will Happen
One of the most obvious reasons why you should start taking chances is the fact that the outcome will always be a surprise-- whether good or bad. Even though there's always the risk that everything will end badly, there's always the flip side that it'll turn out nicely! Those who are afraid of taking risks are always haunted by “what ifs.” You don't want to be like them, don't you?

Regrets
For those who have missed out taking the chance or making the big leap, you'll agree that you have experienced a feeling of regret, right? This unpleasant feeling will often occur, especially if that risk could actually help you become a better person.
Although it can be reassuring to take the safe side every once in a while, you might end up regretting what could have happened if you were man enough.

You Only Live Once
Just like what they say, “You only live once.” So, better live your life to the fullest.

You'll Never Succeed
Life is all about taking risks and chances. How can you get far in life if you're afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone?
Take this for example, when you were little, you didn't have to get on your first bicycle and start pedaling, but you still did. You didn't think about what might happen if you fall.
Life is similar to that. Whether you're taking a chance at a career, love, or another life choice, you could either take the risks, or stay in the outfield forever.

Now that we have discussed some of the reasons why you should start taking chances, try to answer this question, “What do you want?”

A lot of people waste a significant amount of their time, because they don't really know what they want in life or business. Instead of living in a box, move out of it, and see that there's a bigger world out there waiting to be discovered.

If possible, try to reach your potential even if you don't have any plans yet. This is like trying to reach a destination, without knowing where you really want to go.

What Is Success for You?
As you take some time thinking about what you want to do with your life, try to see what being 'successful' means to you. As the ideas start to flow, make sure you capture every drop of it. Jot everything down and be as detailed as possible. There's no need to be perfect-- this is just a rough draft. The key is, you should start and everything else will follow.

What Are You Prepared to Do?
If you want something, you must be ready to do something in order to achieve this. It could be difficult, challenging, and sometimes, impossible, but don't let these negative thoughts hold you down. You wouldn't improve until you start doing something that should be improved.

So, what are you willing to do? What kind of risks are you willing to take? Once you have a clear vision, allow that to pull you in. However, don't push yourself too hard either.

The Possibility of Today
In life, it's natural to be very cautious, because we don't want to get hurt or experience failure, but are you aware that this way of thinking is actually stopping you from doing what you're meant to do?

Of course, it's important to think things through and make it a point that you're fully ready, but you ought to know that you wouldn't live forever, and that's why you should start moving forward now.

Lastly, in order to make a real progress, taking risks is very important. Following an impossible dream will take a lot of courage, but once you reach it, everything will be worth it.
