MMC Mysore is the first medical college to be established in Karnataka and seventh in India. The medical college has been nurtured and guided by the series of eminent teachers and 23 administrators like Deans, Principals, etc. Mysore Medical College (MMC) has submitted an application to the Government of Karnataka advising autonomous status and will be accepted as Krishnarajendra Institute of Medical Science once it achieves that status.

Affiliation and Recognition
One of the top medical colleges in India, Mysore Medical College Mysore is permitted by the Medical Council of India and included in the list of the World Directory of Medical Schools. The medical college was earlier affiliated to the University of Mysore and now affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. Undergraduate Medical Course

Undergraduate Medical Admission Process
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate seeking MBBS admission in Mysore Medical College Mysore must have
• Completed 17 years of age as on 31 December of the year of MBBS admission
• Must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying Entrance Exam. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS Candidates. In respect of PwD candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 45% instead.

MBBS Entrance Exam
NEET UG is a common MBBS entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to the MBBS course in medical colleges in India. To secure MBBS seat in Mysore Medical College Mysore, the candidate has to qualify in NEET exam with the following percentile:
