It's easy to get more energy and strength if you fuel your body with solid foods that'll fuel you regularly throughout the day.

These days, everyone seems to want to have more energy whether it's to achieve peak performance or just to get more work done in a day with more stamina. As funny as it may sound, the one thing we often forget is to regularly fuel our bodies with real solid food -- meaning, vegetables, fruits, and proteins -- instead of high energy drinks and sugary stimulants.

Super strength and peak performance is achieved when you pay attention to the details -- the seemingly mundane details that seem too insignificant to really matter much. Scheduling your meals is one of those details.

Scheduling your meals and snacks at regular intervals will keep your fires burning high throughout the day as well as help you lose weight and easily maintain it. I personally use a countdown watch that I set to let me know the next time I should fuel my body. This might seem rather extreme to some, but high energy is important to me and, I bet to you too!

As a performer, I need optimal energy and mental focus almost 24/7 - not only for the grueling travel and rehearsal schedules that are part of my job, but because also once I've done a performance and everyone knows who I am, I've got to be constantly "On". I can't possibly "Shoosh" people away or be in a bad mood just because I lack quality energy to give them the time they deserve.

This is why I schedule Solid Fuel Stops regularly so I can keep high energy levels throughout every day - year round.

Because I do this throughout the year, I take maintaining high levels of energy very seriously and schedule both my meals and snacks with high priority. When I make mistakes and can't keep up my scheduling, believe me, I pay for it dearly in lack of strength and mental focus -- as we all do.

We all get caught up with work and the dramas of the moment and forget it to fuel our bodies. By the time we realize that we need to eat, we usually have been running for several hours on fumes instead of the energy that would have been produced easily if we had taken a few moments to eat a truly energizing snack or small meal.

One of the big reasons why so many healthy people and athletes reach for artificial energy stimulants is that they're usually not as regular and prompt in their meal planning as they are with their workout schedules. So, they reach for some form of caffeine and/or sugar stimulants usually because they've gotten so involved in what they were that they forgot to eat. Thus, a download spiral begins.

By that time, an energy stimulant instead of solid food seems like the only answer to get us out of the deep hole of fatigue we're experiencing. Unfortunately, as we all know, after that short spike, we're usually quickly back down where we started.

A good way to keep your energy levels up is to schedule your snacks and your meals and treats them like vital business appointments that you cannot afford to miss. I assure you, if you will take it this serious "detail" to heart, you will find your energy levels always high with your mental focus and strength ready for peak performance - no matter what you do. On top of this, you'll find that losing weight and maintaining it will be So much easier than you ever thought possible.
