For a vacation with a difference book your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN COSTA DEL SOL on the east coast. This stretch of coastline covers some 54 kilometres starting from the east of Malaga city. The western coast of the Costa del Sol is far less developed than the eastern coast. The scenery on the eastern coast, which includes cliffs reaching some 200 metres in height, is more dramatic that the western one. With the eastern coast being less developed too, this indicates that what is there had been around for some time and is therefore more traditional.
The ancient town of Nerja is the largest city on the eastern coasts. This magnificence city is situated on the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol. With sixteen kilometres of pristine sandy beaches that are gently lapped by the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea you couldn't ask for a more picturesque location. This ancient town is quiet and peaceful but has all the modern conveniences you would expect to find in a more modern city. It sits nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara Mountains with the sun beaming down on its traditional whitewashed walls. An experience not to be missed is a walk along the Balcon de Europa situated on the side of the mountain which will give you a fantastic view over the surrounding area. There is a lot on offer here for you to enjoy such as sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing or take a trip up to the famous Nerja caves.
If you would like to be far away from the crowds of tourists on the coast travel five kilometres inland to the village of Frigiliana. This little village is sequestered in the foothills of the Almijara Mountains. When staying in this beautiful town you can enjoy all the peace and quiet on offer here while being close to the coast if you feel the need to play on the beach. Competa “The Jewel of the Costa del Sol” is also situated on the eastern coast. This village, sitting high above the Mediterranean Sea, is quintessentially Andalucian with its narrow winding cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed houses.
Another village situated inland is Vinuela: a Mecca for outdoor sporting events. Vinuela sits on the shores of Lake Vinuela with miles of trails that you can walk or cycle on plus some excellent fishing opportunities. The nearby area is also home to two top-class golf courses where you can practice your shot making capabilities. During the winter months you are only a ninety minute drive to some excellent snow skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
When booking your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN COSTA DEL SOL in the eastern coasts will give you access to an amazing amount of activities. Just to name a few activities there is sailing, fishing, canoeing, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, dolphin and whale watching, walking, shopping, mountain climbing and hiking. It’s all there just waiting for you to experience them. If you are into traditional Spanish lifestyle and excellent local cuisine, this is the place to spend your next holiday.
