What is hypnosis?
The Webster's New World dictionary says this: “hypnosis, a sleep- like condition in which the subject is in an altered state of consciousness and responds with certain limitations to the suggestions of the hypnotist". So what does this mean? Hypnosis comes from the Greek work Hypnos meaning sleep. The only resemblance to sleep is the outward appearance as the subject is in a relaxed physical state. In reality it means that hypnosis is not sleep, but rather a very concentrated relaxed state of mind. It also means you can either agree to accept the suggestions you're given or you can choose to mentally override them or change them to suit your needs. When in hypnosis you will never do anything that you would not do in a normal state of mind.
When you are in hypnosis you'll feel as though nothing is happening. You’ll be able to hear sounds smell, feel, taste and see you will actually ask yourself “ Am I hypnotized?” But when in hypnosis you will have more control of your senses than in the normal state of consciousness.
The word hypnosis invokes skepticism, fear, the idea of being controlled, all of these things originating from moviesand folklore and distorted accounts of stage hypnotism .A modern way of looking at this state of mind would be one I would call:
"a Heightened State of Awareness" or " H.S.A."
In actual fact, hypnosis is a state of being where the physical body is at rest and the mental abilities can be heightened to allow communication between the conscious, the subconscious, and the higher self or soul consciousness of a person.
Contemporary Hypnosis expands on the classical view of giving "suggestions" while the client is in that relaxed state. It involves interaction between the Hypnotist/therapist and the client. This can involve speech, gestures, even open-eyed discussions and self-reflection of the issues at hand. It can also involve "energy work" using the concepts of the human energy field or aura and the belief that memories can be stored in this energy field, getting away from the traditional view of all the issues being in the physical mind or brain.
Is H.S.A. Dangerous?
Hypnosis, or this Heightened State of Awarenessis a natural state of consciousness. H.S.A. can be used safely by practically all persons. Actually you enter into "hypnosis" many times on a daily basis. For example when you daydream or when you're reading and someone calls to you and you just don't hear them. Another is when you’re driving down the highway focusing on where you're going and you pass your cut-off. This is
known as “Highway hypnosis”. To better understand what hypnosis is, consider calling Hypnosis by a different name or term: Guided Meditation, and it is guided meditation which leads to the heightened state of awareness.
What can Hypnosis and H.S.A. Treat?
Let's first consider what hypnosis allows us to access. Our consciousness is actually divided into 3 parts: Conscious, Sub-Conscious and Higher-Self, or Soul Consciousness.
The conscious mind is the part that handles all the sensory input as well as judgement, reasoning, acceptance or rejection of something, and our day to day awareness of our environment.
The Sub-conscious handles all bodily functions 24 hours a day and as well it stores EVERY event that we perceive through our senses. Most of which we are unaware of because we are bombarded with millions of events every second of our waking hours. For example, every sound, everything we have within our visual scope, every scent, everything we feel, from hot and cold to vibrations etc. which we don't even pay attention to.
The Higher self or soul consciousness records every single event from the moment we became a life form, it is also in touch with or connected to every other higher self or soul consciousness on earth. (and beyond?) In this way, psychics are seemingly able to transcend space and time itself to reveal thoughts, events or information far beyond our normal senses. Understand now, that the subconscious mind and higher-self can communicate together. But these 2 consciousnesses are NOT easily able to communicate knowingly with the conscious mind in our normal state of awareness as we perceive it. Through H.S.A., the link can be made between all 3. This gives us the conscious ability to discover lost memories and delve deeply into our true being to unlock reasons for phobias, illnesses, past life events, and even future events. (Although these are subject to a persons own belief system). The possibilities are limitless. Some common ailments which can be successfully treated with Hypnosis include, but are not limited to:
Phobias, sleep disorders, compulsive disorders, memory enhancement, physical performance, Weight loss or gain, sexual dysfunctions, allergies, Habits such as nail biting, smoking, drugs, alcoholism, etc., stress and anxiety, memory recall, and almost any health issue.
Spirit Attachement
If you have a problem you KNOW exists but every doctor says there is nothing wrong, Hypnosis can uncover and treat what the problem is. This gets into the realm of Contemporary Hypnosis which deals with more than just hypnotic suggestion, and instead relies on a 2-way interaction between therapist and client. This includes spirit rescue , past life therapy and advanced meditative energy work on the soul level.
Spirit Attachment and the Cycle of Rebirth
Alternation between embodiment on earth and timeless, more or less blissful existence in the spirit world, preparing for reincarnation, is the essential pattern. At death the spirit usually passes to the Light, the white brilliance seen in a near-death experience. However, it does not invariably reach the Light. It may be confused, even to the point of not knowing that the body has died. Ignorance or fear of punishment may cause it to be diverted. Sometimes the spirit remains earthbound in a familiar place, when it may appear as a ghost (see Terry and Natalia O’Sullivan, Soul Rescuers (1999)). Spirits, not uncommonly, attach to other embodied persons, often relatives or friends. Spirits may stay behind with the clear intention of attachment, perhaps out of concern for a relative, or to satisfy an addiction, even for revenge. Family sex abusers seem commonly to attach to their victims. Suicidal persons may have with them spirits which encourage suicide.
EFFECTS OF SPIRIT ATTACHMENT
Spirit attachment can affect people in many ways, either mildly or profoundly. Here are some of the commonest:
1. Unexplained fatigue.
2. Unexplained depression
3. Sudden changes in mood.
4. Hearing a voice.
5. Addictions of all sorts.
6. Uncharacteristic changes in personality or behaviour.
7. Anomalous sexual behaviour.
8. Unexplained somatic symptoms.
It is important to note that there are many other causes of the above symptoms. Hearing voices is the symptom most suggestive of spirit attachment. However, this may also be due to other factors, notably to a more or less autonomous part of the personality, such as a child part, or to a spirit guide. Abusive voices featuring foul language are characteristic of lower spirits, whereas helpful spirits, such as those reported by Ghandi, Luther, Joan of Arc and others who have played a distinguished part in history, are attributed to spirit guides or to a divine source. Spirit guides do not attach to the aura and leach energy, as do the entities that affect human health. Such higher beings are essential allies in guiding souls to the Light and in healing the effects of spirit attachment. It seems likely that they play a covert role in many healing processes. Angels and spirit guides do not readily communicate during therapy, but they may sometimes do so, when asked.
Treatment
I have worked extensively on many forms of attachments and also offer a training course in the treatment of Spirit Rescue (also known as Spirit Releasment) The attachments are not limited to human entities, but also include negative thought forms, demoic or dark entities, Extra-Terrestrial entities and a wide range of other unseen energy forms.
Through H.S.A. these entities are able to be communicated with openly and audibly. Resolution of conflicts between entities, entities and hosts and even attached curse entities is possible using H.S.A. ensuring a final healing of all parties concerned.
It is estimated that between 75% and 100% of people are, have been or will be affected by an attachment of some form in their lives.

At the age of 16 I watched as a teacher and freind of mine demonstrated hypnosis on one of my fellow classmates. I was hooked. Fascinated by what had just occured, I began reading and studying Hypnosis. Within a year I had practiced with my friends at parties and gatherings. While reading between the lines of the do's and don'ts of Hypnosis I began to realize that there was more than just the spoken word at work here. Hypnosis was "voluntary" but "don't hypnotize yourself at the same time". WHY NOT? If I were to go "down" with the subject then stop at the point of control and at that "voluntary" level, could I send the subject even DEEPER down from there? YES. I was able to achieve what my teacher said was not possible. I believed that there was a mental/energetic connection between us all and later in life discovered this to be fact. My Reiki study proved this. I use a new approach I call H.S.A. to interactively open communication bewteen our 3 consciouses to provde a new form of connective inner healing. Welcome to A Healing Edge. Permit me to offer you that natural edge of health through the power of your own mind, the ultimate healer within all of us
