With the zero cost marketing tools that I refer to here, you can craft an intermediate online marketing process that will help you generate more traffic for your web property and ultimately more sales.

The methods that I outline are presented for both an automatic marketing mode and/or manual marketing mode. The manual mode (as discussed) may prove to be far more time consuming as well as inefficient and often ineffective as compared to the automatic version.

The automatic mode can truly save you a boat load of time. Time that you can deploy to further your education pertaining to online business and to keep your informed and updated a new technologies emerge across your industry sector.

Opting for an automated marketing process may mean that you will need to buy and utilize software programs that will enable you to fully automate your process. Buying automated software packages is where your investment will be. I highly recommend you buy automated marketing software packages that require a single, one-time investment rather than a perpetually draining monthly pay plan (subscription).

One caveat here...

With that stated, I should make this balancing comment. If the automated marketing software is all that it's cracked up to be and the only way that you can get your hands on it is to purchase it under a subscription agreement, then you may certainly want to go for it!

Now, let's examine a short list of marketing tactics that might offer you a free online marketing strategy.

1. Directory And Search Engine Submission (SEO):

It is recommended to start with this tactic as it is expected that this tactic bring solid and continuous traffic. Yet it needs time to build your position especially within the search engines. When we say search engines, it doesn't mean that we are talking only about the big names.

If you submit your web site to the smaller search engines, that can contribute to your position within the big players.

2. Reciprocal Linking Advantage:

This particular marketing tactic has earned a bit of controversy. Many prefer one-way linkage as opposed to exchanging links. I do agree with this philosophy, but you still could follow both tactical paths. With reciprocal linkage, you simply exchange links with other sites. (This can prove to be a time consuming endeavor if you are not automating your online marketing process.)

3. Posting Within Forums:

Posting and participating within active forums has a double-bang impact. Not only you are generating traffic from people that click your link in your signature file (line), but also you are awarded one-way back links as these forums are open to search engines and thus, your posts with your signature are listed in those specific search engines.

4. Article Submission:

There are multiple directories that regularly and almost effortlessly accept article submissions which would score you an enormous amount of one-way back links directly to your site. Your number one priority is to locate directories with the highest traffic levels and with the ability to efficiently distribute your articles to other sites, ezines, email groups and publishers.

5. Podcasting, Blogging And Pinging:

Pinging your Podcast, Blog and/or your dynamic pages of your site. If your Podcast and/or your Blog is hosted on your server as an extension of your web site, you can Ping to update search engines with all your new changes. This will encourage search engine spiders to crawl your Podcast and/or Blog and ultimately your web site.

Additionally, you can develop dynamic content for your web property by simply adding articles as well as news feeds to keep you site fresh with new and always updated content. This is something that will draw in the search engines and accordingly you can Ping those pages of your site to ramp up their spider crawling procedures.

Happy Marketing!
