When you think of getting in the “zone,” you might automatically think of an athlete. The zone is actually a state of mind that can be applied in any area of life. Whether you are going on a job interview, playing golf or having a first date, accessing the zone can help you be your best.
The zone is simply a quieting of the mind and returning to the present moment. The experience is just a highly-focused state of mind. Normally our minds are chattering away and we never get to experience this inner calm. Some people get in the zone while looking at beautiful artwork or holding a baby, others may access the zone when they are experiencing the first kiss of a new love.
You do not have to wait for the zone to randomly occur in your life, you can create it at will. All of your feelings are stored into your subconscious, so you can access them and create new triggers to re-experience them anytime you want. To anchor into your zone, think back to a great memory and bring those good feelings into your body. As you are feeling these feelings, surround yourself with your favorite color. Sometimes people imagine it being a circle on the ground that they step into. Anytime you imagine that color around you, your mind will associate it with the zone. Try it next time you are on a date or at a cocktail party and watch how your attract tons of attention.
