1. When you keep looking at the horoscopes of the known persons and keep getting information about their life events, your understanding of astrology keep getting refined. This is a gradual process and each day.
2. As you read more books there is more confusion because some books are not correct and not based on much research and some books have been written with respect to a time and space which has changed significantly and accordingly the interpretations in those books need revision.
3. It makes no sense to start from scratch and develop this subject completely. The best approach is to understand the teachings of Sages correctly and then experiment to confirm our understanding.
4. Understanding and accepting that a problem exists is the first step in fixing it. While we certainly want to keep the sanctity of the subject of astrology intact and not unduly worry about having it accepted as a science, it can only do good to apply the paradigms of modern science and approach astrology with a rational outlook.
